With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Vera Wendel (Saint Marys, Pennsylvania), who passed away on May 17, 2020 at the age of 87. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Vera Wendel to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd Herbstritt and Nora Wolf Herbstritt; her husband Maurice "Skinny" Wendel; and her brothers, William, Richard "Cowboy" Herbstritt, Thomas Herbstritt, James and Robert.
She is survived by: her children, Sharon Kintz (Duane) of New Alexandria, Sandi Bailey of St. Marys, Janet Schatz (Charles "Chuck") of St. Marys, Wayne Wendel (Mary) of Glen Hazel and Thomas Wendel (Karen) of Glen Hazel; and her sister Eleanore Bauer of St. Marys. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
