Shirley A. Wendel Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Shirley A. Wendel (Saint Marys, Pennsylvania), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 25, 2025 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, John "Jack" Glessner and Irene Whiteman Glessner; her spouse Laverne W. "Jerry" Wendel; and her grandson Ryan Steis. She is survived by: her children, Doreen Steis (Roger) of Valdosta, GA, Marijo Lecker (Joel) of Charlottesville, VA, Amy Mulhearn (Neil) of Chalfont, PA, Rachel Cragg (Kelly) of Corry, PA, Russ Wendel (Debbie) of Weedville and Steven Wendel (Mary) of St. Marys; her grandchildren, Ahren Steis (Melissa), Katie Lecker (Chas Webster), Breanne Skrzypek (Ethan), Evan Mulhearn (Allie), Abby Mulhearn (Jake Manseau), Jack Mulhearn, Josh Krug (Becca), Kelsey Wendel (Matt Price), John Cragg (Brianna), Matt Cragg (Hannah Easley) and Liam Cragg (Bailey Penrod); her stepgrandchildren, Eric Mercer (Toni), Amy Mercer and Josh Makufka; and her friend Fran Kirkland of Hallton, PA.. She is also survived by ten great-grandchildren.
