He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Strobel and Anna Strobel (Ettwein); and his sister Coletta Damico. He is survived by: his wife Virginia Strobel (Detzel); his children, James Strobel (Phoebe) and Gail Namey (Samuel); his grandchildren, Beth Ann Kovitch (Jeremy), Samuel Namey Jr. (Amanda Wetick), Bethany Vigorito (Mike) and Jennifer Greene (Michael); and his great grandchild Sydney Greene.
