She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Friedl and Catherine Distler Friedl; her husband Jerome J. Hanes, Jr.; and her siblings, Donald Friedl and Martha Friedl Hauber.
She is survived by: her grandson Darcy Hanes (Joseph Martin) of Beltsville, MD.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or to the Penn Highlands Community Nurses.
