Nelson; his children, Carla Cannon (Michael) of St. Marys, Aaron Shippling (Justine) of Elizabethtown, PA and Brian Shippling (Ruthie) of Connelly Springs, NC; his grandsons, A. J. and Zachary Shippling; and his sister Ethel Kanski (Bernard "Boot") of Johnsonburg.
