With heavy hearts, we announce the death of LeRoy J. Himes of Saint Marys, Pennsylvania, born in Ridgway, Pennsylvania, who passed away on July 19, 2023 at the age of 88. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of LeRoy J. Himes to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Burton Himes and Lillian Wolff Himes; his wife Alice "Dixie" Groll Himes; his son Daniel Himes; his sons-in-law, Paul Bush and Jim Challingsworth; his grandchildren, Hannah Badeau and AJ Autrey; and his sisters, Dorothy Neubert, Lenora King and Virginia Zuchowski.
He is survived by: his daughters, Roxe Anne Challingsworth of St. Marys, Jody Tyger (Doug) of Kersey and Kelly Dippold (Doug) of North Carolina; his grandchildren, Missy Pistner (Dan), Danny Challingsworth (Julie), Kevin Himes (Jolienne), Michael Himes (Danielle), Amanda Krieg (Wayne), Mallory Dickinson (Jim), Alison Autrey (Matt) and Joshua Dippold; his sister Evelyn Beers of St. Marys; his daughter-in-law Sue Wendel of St. Marys; and his friend Todd Taylor (Kim). He is also survived by fourteen great grandchildren, and by one great-great grandchild.
