He was predeceased by: his parents, Lattimer Bankovic and Eva Frkonja Bankovic; his wife Marie "Pete" Haberberger; his daughter Mary Jo Schutz; and his siblings, Kathryn Stauffer, Barbara Fleming, Anne Bickmire, Rose Bankovic, Mary Lou Bankovic, Paul, Walter and William Bankovic.
He is survived by: his granddaughter Tina Steffan of St. Marys; his great grandchildren, Evan Schutz (Amber) and Bryce Gabler; his great great grandchildren, Danica and Tayla Schutz; and his son-in-law Edward Schutz, Jr. of St. Marys.
