He was predeceased by: his parents, Vincent G. Rettger and Anna Hacherl Rettger; and his brothers-in-law, Richard Schreiber and Ronald Krug. He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann Sweeney; his children, Michelle Smith (Frank) of Avonmore, PA, Kathleen "Katie" Beveridge (Eric) of Butler, PA, Bernard Rettger (Patty) of St. Marys, Henry "Hank" Rettger (Cheryl) of Pittsburgh, PA and Matthew Rettger (Debbie) of Brockport, PA; his grandchildren, Chris Rettger, Gabby Rettger, Alexis Maze, Jacob Maze, Abigail Smith, Colton Beveridge and Garrett Beveridge; and his siblings, Jean Schreiber of St. Marys, Eileen Krug of Fulton, NY, Rosemary Neubert (Gerald) of St. Marys and Michael Rettger (Susie) of St. Marys. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
