She was predeceased by: her parents, Alois Holtzhauser and Rose Scherer Holtzhauser; her husband Kenneth Hanes; her son David Hanes; and her siblings, George Holtzhauser, Louise and Rose Holtzhauser.
She is survived by: her children, Daniel Hanes (Betsy) of St. Marys, Stephen Hanes (Sue Ann) of St. Marys, Douglas Hanes (Shelley) of Treasure Lake, Diane Crosby (Larry) of Emporium, Kathleen Heindl (James) of St. Marys, Lisa Nissel (Mark) of St. Marys, Judith Hanes, Paula Carr (Robert) of Ridgway and Karen Dinsmore (Dean) of Ridgway. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.
