She was predeceased by: her parents, George Samick and Bertha Prechtl Samick; her husband Ronald L. Newell; her daughter Cynthia McCullough; and her siblings, Maurus, Howard, William, Raymond, Gerald, George Samick, Jane Pollick, Alice Nasoni, Lillian Hillebrand and Dorothy "Dixie" Newell.
She is survived by: her children, Carol Pearson (Doug) of Kersey, Larry Newell (Lorelei) of St. Marys, Michael Newell (Jean) of Johnsonburg, Jeffrey Newell (Chris) of Kersey and Edward Newell (Jen) of New Paltz, NY.; her grandchildren, Mike, Matt, Tim, Dan, Katie, Jessica and Hailey; her son-in-law Brett McCullough; and her sister Carol Sporner of St. Marys. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
