With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Eileen D. Spence of Saint Marys, Pennsylvania, born in Erie, Pennsylvania, who passed away on January 16, 2023 at the age of 99. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward W. Downing and Florence Hespelein Downing; her spouse Ottomar C. Spence (Ottie); her brother Edward of San Antonio, TX; her children-in-law, Michele Spence of St. Marys, Karen Spence of Somerset, Larry Bly of Pembroke Pines, FL and Jimmy Crosbie of Davie, FL; and her siblings-in-law, Alene Downing of San Antonio, TX, Mary Louise Francis of St. Marys, Joseph Francis of St. Marys and Thomas Assalone of St. Marys.
She is survived by: her uncle Reverend Joseph Downing; her children, Marlene (Bryan Lett) of Wyomissing, PA, Ann Bly of Pembroke Pines, FL, Gail Crosbie of Davie, FL, Jeffrey of St. Marys and Richard of Somerset, PA; her brother Dr. Charles Downing of San Antonio, TX; and her sister-in-law Rita. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
