He was predeceased by: his father Joseph Sloff; and his siblings, Marie Sloff and John Michael Sloff. He is survived by: his wife Ruth "Pug" Hasselman; his children, Amy Higgins, Michael Sloff (Kim) and Molly Uberti (Curtis); his grandchildren, Jimmy Higgins (Crystal), Nathan Higgins (Laura), Seth Higgins, Diana Nguyen, Abbey Sloff, Rachel Sloff, Nickolas Sloff, Christian Sloff, Taylor Uberti and Joshua Uberti; and his great grandchildren, Luka Higgins, Finn Higgins, Harper Higgins, Jackson Higgins and Lennon Higgins.
