He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Challingsworth and Helen Sarginger Challingsworth. He is survived by: his wife Joan Lynch Challingsworth; his sons, David Challingsworth (Yvonne) of St. Marys, Glen Challingsworth of St. Marys, John Challingsworth (Jennifer) of St. Marys, Robert Challingsworth (Lori) of St. Marys and Mark Challingsworth (Sara) of Philadelphia; and his niece Rhonda Horchen. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren, six great-grandchildren.
