He was predeceased by: his parents, William VanSlander and Bernetta Haberberger VanSlander; and his siblings, William B. VanSlander Jr. of Force and Sue Ellen VanSlander. He is survived by: his children, Lisa Starr (Dave) of Kersey, Tami Vakiener (Dave) of Ridgway, Kari Smith (Jeff) of Ridgway, Rhonda Krobot (Chuck) of Daguscahonda and DJ VanSlander (Cindy) of St. Marys; his brother John VanSlander of Rasselas; and his former wife Sandra VanSlander of Daguscahonda. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
