He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew C. Buerk and Mary B. Eckert Buerk; and his siblings, Andrew, Edward, Carl, Romie, Philip Buerk, Mary Gier (Paul), Dorothy Reed (Jerry) and Rose Newell (Mack).
He is survived by: his spouse Shirley Yeager; his children, Mary Surra (Terry) of Kersey, Michael Buerk (Robin) of Treasure Lake and Andrew Buerk (Elaine) of Huntington Beach, CA; his grandchildren, Joseph Surra (Carly) of Cranberry Township, Anthony Surra of Kersey, Christa Hosterman (Bret) of State College, Nicole Buerk, Brittey Buerk of Huntington Beach, CA, Jacob Buerk and Tyler Buerk of Treasure Lake; and his great grandchildren, Andrew, Mila, Giovanni of Cranberry Township and Gavin Hosterman of State College.
