With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carl R. Whalen Sr. (Saint Marys, Pennsylvania), who passed away on October 9, 2022 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifton E. Whalen and Hellen Keller Whalen; his wife Rose Ann Scolari; and his siblings, Betty Jane Pifer and Francis Whalen.
He is survived by: his children, Anjanette Catalone (Patrick) of St. Marys, Allison Silfies (Jesse) of York Haven, PA, Carl R. Whalen, Jr. (Glenda) of Treasure Lake, Gregory Whalen of Cape Coral, FL and Jay Whalen (Nicole) of Hermitage, PA; and his grandchildren, Jason Whalen, Nicole Grunthaner, Heather McGillicuddy, Brandon Campbell, Cameron Whalen, Cullen Catalone, Dominic Catalone, Isiah Silfies and Jacob Silfies. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren; and by many nieces and nephews.
