We are sad to announce that on August 29, 2021, at the age of 93, Joseph F. Bova of Saint Davids, Pennsylvania passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph P. Bova and Irma B. Bova (Craig); his wife Dorothea "Thea" Mae Kirshe; and his brother Reverend Eugene R.. He is survived by: his children, Carol-Lynn A. (Frank Bevc) of Winter Springs, FL, Joseph W. (Marcy Foltz) of Audubon, PA, Betty Anne (Erik Anderson) of Monroe, CT, James W. (Susan Berriman) of Ashland, VA, Jonathan E. (Lisa Smith) of Mont Clare, PA, Dorothea M. (Scott Shafer) of Holmes, NY and Mary Janine Chiles (MJ); and his grandchildren, Christine Bevc (Christopher Thompson), Elizabeth Bevc (Joseph Weinhouse), Amy Bova (Nickolas Dectis), Melissa Bova, Megan Bova (Ryan Dinlocker), Diane Casaretti (Matthew Norlander), Victoria Casaretti (Joseph Nungesser), Katherine Bova (Matthew Boyce), David Bova, Adeline Bova, Joseph R. Bova, Andrew Shafer (Masha Kandybin), Alison Shafer, Alexander Shafer, Rebecca Shafer, William Chiles and Timothy Chiles. He is also survived by seven children, 17 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
The family requests, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Angel Flight East in Blue Bell, PA.
