He is survived by: his pets, Blue, Lucy Lou and Lacy Grace; his wife LaRayne Laverty; his children, Karen Clayton (Todd) of Mercer, PA, ChaReace Irwin of Saegertown, PA, Glenn Irwin of Saegertown, PA and Gabe Laverty of Japan; his grandchildren, Justin, Ashlee Irwin, Brittany, Tera Irwin, Jacob Clark, Alice and Noah Laverty; and his siblings, Gena Laverty of Sharon, PA and Jimmy Laverty of Sharon, PA.. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
