In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Irene leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Irene may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She is survived by: her children, Frances (Chung Poon Tsai) of Sylvania, Ohio, Jean (Anton Robert Brom) of Vienna, Austria and Alec (Brenda Chien) of Meadville, Pennsylvania; her grandchildren, Annabel Tsai (Catherine Tsai), Thomas Peipert (Brianna Chien), Mikayla (Joel Trousdale) and Bethany (Mike Fields); and her great grandchildren, Magnolia, Jet Trousdale, Jack and Emma Fields.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Irene Chien to Wesbury United Methodist Retirement Community in Meadville (31 Park Avenue, Meadville) or to Sylvania United Church of Christ (7240 Erie Street, Sylvania Ohio 43560) where Irene was a longtime member while living in Sylvania, Ohio.
