He was predeceased by: his parents, Darrell Battles and Laurena Battles (Whitman); his wife Velma Reichel; and his sister Shirley Johnston. He is survived by: his children, Jeff S. Battles (Alice) of Conneaut Lake, Darrell Battles of Meadville and Donna Needler of Meadville; his grandchildren, Kylee, Logan and Maggie; and his siblings-in-law, Laurie Johnston (Dale) of Meadville and David Reichel (Joyce) of Blooming Valley. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
