He was predeceased by: his parents, William SanFelice and Thelma Gehr Simpson; his wife Rose Gehr (Vanderhoof); his stepson Michael Rumzie; his son-in-law Richard Ott Jr.; and his brother William Simpson.
He is survived by: his children, Melissa Gehr Ott of Meadville, PA, Marlena Jones of Akron, OH, Joseph Gehr of Lancaster, PA and Donny Jones (Mary Jo) of Meadville, PA; and his stepchildren, Melissa Troupe of Douglas, GA, Mary Jo Chaplin (Rob) of Three Rivers, MI and Jack Rumzie of Mendon, MI. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
