He was predeceased by: his father John F.; his brother J. Murray McCarthy; and also, Leone R. Reno, Margaret M. McCarthy and Maryann Tarter.
He is survived by: his wife Rachel A. McCarthy (Curran); his children, Mary Groth (Rob) of Richfield, OH, Shelly Karwowski (Jim) of San Antonio, TX, Maggie McCarthy of Thousand Oak, CA, Tom McCarthy (Patti) of Indiana and Jim McCarthy (Renee) of West Deer; his grandchildren, Michael, Rachelle, Alex, T. Lucas and Morgan; and his great grandchild Johnny. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
