He was predeceased by: his parents, Wallace M. and Jean C. Haines, Sr. (Klinger). He is survived by: his close friend Marie Monarko; his sons, Erik Haines of West Deer and Brian Haines (Deidre) of Russellton; his grandchildren, Abbie and Zoey; and his brothers, Wallace M. "Sonny" Haines, Jr. (Nancy) of Sharpsburg, Charles A. Haines of Canyon County, CA and Ronald L. Haines (Shelly) of Sligo.
