He was predeceased by: his parents, Eletha Caroline Coy (Lawrence) and Lester Edward Coy; and his siblings, Rosella Coy, Viola Poorbaugh (Forrest), Phillip Coy (Elsie), Lawrence Coy (Eva), Lee Roy Coy (Doris), Donald Coy (Rose) and Nancy Pountney (Robert).

He is survived by: his wife Rebecca Marlene Coy (Hartman); his daughters, Chinene Caroline Miller (Trever Lee Miller) and Heidi Lynn Clark (Matthew Franklin Clark); his grandchildren, Morgan Lee Miller, Carolynn Alberta Clark, Aurora Jean Clark and Owen Matthew Clark; and his sister Jeanie Ling (Ronald). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
