He was predeceased by: his wives, Beth Ann Bertha (Taylor) and Terri L. Bertha (Hoefelder); and his children, Douglas R. Bertha, Jr, Justin M. Bertha and Stacey L. Bertha.
He is survived by: his granddaughters, Gillian T. Bertha and Eliana Beth Ann Belschner; his brothers, Dane M. Bertha (Lori) of Bairdford and Drew P. Bertha (Christine) of Fawn Township; and his stepsons, David J. Kennedy, Jr. of Shaler and Samuel J. Kennedy. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
