She was predeceased by: her parents, Steven Karan and Johanna Karan (Presiak); her husband Paul "Shorty" Kurtiak; and her siblings, Helen Kozial, Anna Fender, Sophie Boyle, Ted, George, Steve and Milan Karen.
She is survived by: her daughters, Paula Donnelly (Joseph) of Cincinnati and Paulette Joyce (James) of Emsworth; her grandchildren, Ian, Erin Donnelly of Cincinnati and William "Liam" Joyce of Emsworth; and her sister Mildred "Mickie" Makara of Lower Burrell. She is also survived by 10 children.
