He was predeceased by: his wife Dolores Swigart; and his siblings, James, Larry "Lud" Swigart and Jackie Mattone. He is survived by: his sons, Denny L. Swigart (Maureen) of West Deer, David A. Swigart (Jacquelyn) of Frazer Twp, John S. Swigart (Kathy) and Thomas R. Swigart (Julie) of New Kensington. He is also survived by many Grandchildren, Great-Grandchildren and Great-Great-Grandchildren.
