Sonja Wood Obituary
We are sad to announce that on November 12, 2024, at the age of 87, Sonja Wood of Russell, Pennsylvania passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Homer F. Cook and B. Jean Cook (Burkett); her husband Robert A. Wood; and her siblings, Coral Anne Wood, Patricia Anderson, John, Joseph and Jeffrey Cook.
She is survived by: her children, Debra Foster (Edward) of Russell, Michael Wood of Warren, David Wood (Traci) of Warren and Susan Munch (Steven) of Columbus, GA; her grandchildren, Adam Larson, Ashlee Holt and Gabrielle Goodard; her great grandchildren, Cailee Goodard and Emerson Holt; and her sister Cheryl Resse of Front Royal, VA. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Church of the Nazarene (907 Pennsylvania Ave E, Warren, PA 16365). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made to First Church of the Nazarene.
