He was predeceased by: his parents, Paula Nieves (Reyes) and Domingo Nieves; and his siblings, Cruz Maria, Octavio and Edwardo.
He is survived by: his spouse Nereida Nieves (Vargas); his children, Alicia Sepulveda (Elder) of Lancaster and Elias Nieves of New Jersey; his stepchildren, Rachel Sanchez (David), Juan Rivera (Lisa) and Anthony Rivera (Tammy Saunders); his grandchildren, Christopher, Carly, Seth and Jaysiel; his great grandchildren, Silas, Julian and Mathilda; and his siblings, Brenda, Conception, Domingo and Juan. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
