He was predeceased by: his wife Carol M. Leonard (Manoppello); his parents, Samuel John Leonard and Mary Katherine Leonard (Myers); and his siblings, Kitty Adair, Ann Connon, Sally Merwarth, Larry Leonard and David Leonard.

He is survived by: his daughter Kristan M. Almquist (Christopher); and his sisters, Jane Etter of Cherry Hill, NJ and Ellen Baker of Limerick, PA. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
