He was predeceased by: his father G. Terry Steenburg. He is survived by: his wife Amanda; his children, Lukas and Hannah; his mother Yvonne Hatcher; and his siblings, Ryan Steenburg (Kristen) and Angela Neathery. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.

In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Stroke Association (https://www.stroke.org) in Matthew's name.
