He is survived by: his wife Ester Andrea Thorkildsen (Michalsen); his parent Gerda Thorkildsen (Jacobsen); his sons, Bruce Thorkildsen (Sharon) of Mount Bethel, PA and Ernest Thorkildsen (Karyn) of Staten Island, NY; his brother Arne Thorkildsen of Seattle, WA; and his grandchildren, Matthew Thorkildsen, Jason Thorkildsen, Katie Sottile, Kristie Bernas and Kevin Thorkildsen.
