He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Arnel and Charlotte Maxine Tauscher Fessenden. He is survived by: his children, Jeff Contz (Ajeng) of Johnstown, Scott Fessenden (Tiff) of Gold, A. J. Fessenden (Kris) of Roulette and Susan C. Fessenden-Helo of Dubois; his grandchildren, Andrew Fessenden (Brittany), Brittany Freer, Cheyenne Helo, Erika Helo and Daulton Helo; his great grandchildren, Kole Freer, Kiersten Freer, Chandylr Fessenden, Charlotte Fessenden and Piper Renner; his close friend Julie Adair of Edinboro; and his siblings, Carlene Kio (Tom) of Roulette and Mike Fessenden (Robin) of Roulette. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Roulette Volunteer Ambulance Association, PO Box 172, Roulette, PA 16746 or to the Roulette Volunteer Fire Department, PO Box 172, Roulette, PA 16746.
