We are sad to announce that on December 17, 2021, at the age of 60, Matthew W. Sweeney Jr. of Rostraver, Pennsylvania, born in Greensburg, Pennsylvania passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He is survived by: his parents, Matthew W. Sweeney and Eileen Sweeney (McCune); his wife Mary Beth Sweeney (Turnbull); his sons, Matthew W. Sweeney III (Lily Gharib) of Philadelphia and Zachary T. Sweeney of Rostraver; his sister Patricia Sweeney of Camp Hill; and his close friend John Zapp. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to The Bag Brigade, 1181 Fells Church Road, Rostraver Twp, PA 15012.
