He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Kovacs and Rose Kovacs (Kate); and his son Rick Kovacs. He is survived by: his wife Eleanor M. "Ellie" Kovacs (Ivory); his children, Jeffrey Kovacs (Darcy) of McMurray, PA and Karen Westerlund (Thomas) of Presto, PA; his grandchildren, Maura Homerski (Joseph), Bryan Westerlund (Noelle), Connor, Collin and Clare Kovacs; his great grandchildren, Hunter, Callie Homerski and Lucy Westerlund; and his brother Arnold Kovacs.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, or perform a random act of kindness.
