We are sad to announce that on August 1, 2022, at the age of 70, Samuel L. Whitfield of Rossiter, Pennsylvania, born in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Whitfield and Myra Peterman Whitfield. He is survived by: his wife Rose McCullough; his daughter Tanya Williams; his siblings, Robert, Melvin, Joseph Whitfield, Beverly Malizia, Leona Butler, Jean Williams, Martha Bassett and Mary Catarouche; his granddaughter Cheyenne Whitfield; his son John E. Whitfield; and his brothers, William and John Whitfield.

Memorial donation may be made to Muscular Dystrophy Association and Lung Cancer Association.
