He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Bugay and Anna Bugay (Koker); his son Joseph Robert Bugay, Jr.; and his brothers, Michael Bugay, George Bugay and John Bugay.
He is survived by: his wife Norma Jean Jenary; and his siblings, Stephen Bugay of Blairsville, Mary Dudek of Gipsy, Margaret Yanik of Asheville, Dorothy Jablunovski (Phillip) of Indiana, PA, Betty Bugay of Gipsy and Susan Worth (Paul) of Quitman, Georgia. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
