He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann Montgomery; his children, Carol Austin, William Appelt (Marcie) and Diane Mullinary (Greg); his grandchildren, Brian Calhoun, Johnny Austin (Emily), Meghan Curtis (Sam), Danica Wilson (Jake), Alex Appelt (Ariel) and David Knotts; his great grandchildren, Luke, Riley Austin, Evie, Lily, Woodrow, Violet Curtis, River, Grayson Appelt and Gracie Calhoun; his siblings, Ed Appelt (Judy) and Marianne Cibulas (Joe); and his sister-in-law Arlene Appelt. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
