He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Dietz and Elizabeth Dietz; his brother Frederick Dietz, Jr.; and his siblings-in-law, Roger Cooper, Sr. and Joyce Bates Dietz.
He is survived by: his wife Lorrie L. Dietz (Kurtz); his daughter Tammy L. Munoz (Mark); his siblings, Catherine Cooper, Edward Dietz (Katherine), Raymond Dietz (Lynn) and Richard Dietz (Marianne); and his grandchildren, Dante, Isabella and Maia Munoz. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
