It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of SHCJ Claire Smith of Rosemont, Pennsylvania, who passed away on February 17, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John McTamney and Mary McTamney. She is survived by: her friends, Jeanne Marie Hatch and Carroll Juliano; her siblings, Claire, John and Eileen McKenna; her brother-in-law Jim Hale; her sisters, Mary Teresa Hale and Ellen; her brother-in-law Jim Hagen; her brother Michael; her sister-in-law Terry Smith; her sister Andrea; and her siblings-in-law, Bud Newdeck, Ed McKenna and Sue Smith. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Holy Child Chapel (1341 Montgomery Ave, Bryn Mawr, PA 19010). Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
