He was predeceased by: his parents, George Merle and Susan Byers (Hineman); his son David Byers; his son-in-law William Freyer; and his siblings, Richard, Eugene, Mary Louise and Betty Ann.
He is survived by: his wife Olive Maloney; his children, Teresa (James Evilsizor) of Kerrmoor, Melissa and Steven (Dianne) of Clearfield; his grandchildren, Scott Freyer, Carrie Warren, Tyler Byers, Lyndsy Keith, Ashley Keith, Evelynn Keith, Olivia Keith and Avery Keith; his great grandchildren, Joslynne Freyer, Andrew Freyer, Karleigh Freyer, Gianna Freyer, Noah VonGunden, Natalie VonGunden, Addison Warren, Aniah Byers, Ava Mattis, Audrey Byers and Autumn Byers; his sister Catherine "Kate" Stagner of Clearfield; and also Randy Keith of Maryland. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Arthur Joseph Byers, 88, of Ronks, and formerly of Mahaffey, died Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2020 at Lancaster General Hospital of complications from COVID-19.
