He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Welliver and Edna Welliver (Wilbur); his brother Bill Welliver; and his brother-in-law William Allyn. He is survived by: his wife C. Alice Welliver; his son Michael; his daughter-in-law Carla Welliver; his daughter Jennifer; his son-in-law Richard Jones; his grandchildren, Tori Bristol (Aaron), Tara Welliver, Lauryn Jones and Ryan Jones; his siblings-in-law, Jean, John Neiley and Richard; and his grandmother Allyn.
