He was predeceased by: his parents, John J. Jones and Bertha Jubis Jones; his daughter Julie Jones; his siblings, Cecilia Jones, Robert, William Jones and Marcella Casey; and his grandson Jay R. Dickson.
He is survived by: his children, Debbie Orme of Crozet, VA., Donna Fry (Mike) of Conway, SC., Terry Jones-Hornung (Andy) of Thompson, Kathy Jones-Zawistowski (John) of Thompson, David Jones (Pam) of Thompson and Jay Jones of Thompson; his sister Shirley Jones; his sister-in-law Dorothy Jones; and his nephew Rev. Edward Casey. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
