He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Leonard and L. Jean Rice Jr. (Cameron). He is survived by: his wife Linda Ludden; his sister Kathy King; his children, James L. Rice Jr. of Garrett and Andrea Rice of Somerset; his grandchildren, Wyatt Rice, Draven Clark, Candra, Camrin Hay and Jaxyn Charlton; and his siblings, Marjorie Vinzani (Benedict) of Somerset and Timothy Rice (Diane) of Florida.
