He was predeceased by: his parents, Merle Eugene and Bertha Marie Benning (Mull); and his brothers, Richard, Ernest, Donald and William Benning.
He is survived by: his siblings, Darlene F. Maule of Rockwood, Earl C. Benning (Gayle) of St. Paul and Bertha Watson of Berlin. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
