He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold K. Hoenig and Kathryn Marquette Hoenig; his grandparents, Eugene, Helen Stormfels Hoenig, Harry and Agnes Marquette; and his brother Kenneth Hoenig (Eileen Scassa).
He is survived by: his close friend Gina Faust; his sons, Ronald Jr., James Hoenig (Danielle), Rochester Twp and David E. Hoenig of Annendale, VA.; his grandsons, Chad Hoenig and Eric Hoenig of Annendale, VA; his extended family, Leashia Faust, Richard and Abby Faust; his daughter Drew; and also, Mathew, Kimberly, Eisen and Stark. He is also survived by one niece and three nephews.
