He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruth M. Donaldson and Asa Donaldson; his wife Sandra Kennedy; his granddaughter Jaclyn Kennedy; and his sisters, Karen Kurtz, Pamela Oaks and Robin Donaldson.

He is survived by: his son Richard; his daughter-in-law Kim Kennedy; his granddaughters, Katlyn Carney (Colton) and Madlyn Parrish (Ben); his great grandchildren, Colten, Zoey, Benjamin, Arya, Calee, Alysse and Elizabeth; his brothers, Rick Donaldson (Marilyn), Randy Wagurak (Janice), Rodney Donaldson (Barb) and Rusty Donaldson (Kris); and his sister-in-law Mary Ellen Muron. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
