She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank S. Brewer and Irene Eakles; her husband John R. Eakin; and her son Robert M. Eakin. She is survived by: her stepmother Maude Brewer; her daughter Nancy R. (Jeffery Stambough); her daughter-in-law Melva Eakin Devin; her grandchildren, Dr. Jeffrey Stambough (Kathryn Stambough) and Dr. Megan Labreck (Philip); and her great grandchildren, Benjamin, William, Mia and Wesley. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
