He was predeceased by: his parents, John M. Eakin and Helen M. Riggs Eakin; and his son Robert M. Eakin. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Brewer Eakin; his daughter Nancy R.; his children-in-law, Dr. Jeffery Stambough and Melva Eakin Devin; his grandchildren, Dr. Jeffrey Stambough (Kathryn Stambough) of Little Rock, AK. and Dr. Megan Labreck (Philip); and his great grandchildren, Benjamin, William, Mia and Wesley. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
