John Peter Smiley Sr. Obituary

In loving memory of John Peter Smiley Sr. (Rochester, Pennsylvania), who departed this world on December 29, 2024 at the age of 87. John Peter leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Smiley and Peter Smiley; his sisters, Rosemary Chronis (Smiley) and Marlene Allison (Smiley); and his son John Jr..

He is survived by: his children, Susie, Stephen and Joseph; and his grandchildren, Hanna Wesolowski (Zach), Brett Smiley, Jake Smiley (Shelby), Bryn Smiley, Matthew Von Kaenel, Shannon Von Kaenel and Cole Wesolowski.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the William Murphy Funeral Home (349 Adams St, Rochester, PA 15074). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, January 6th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Cecilia Church - Our Lady of the Valley (632 Virginia Ave, Rochester, PA 15074). The military honors will be held on Monday, January 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
